My website was probably the most complex project I did while in Photoshop. It took me much longer than I expected but I think it came out really good. At first I had no idea what I was going to do but when I saw this idea in my head it seemed like it would look really cool. My favorite thing about this project was learning about how to use flash. One problem I had was running out of space on my page and I was forced to keep moving things around. I think I came up with a really good idea for this project and did it very well.

Water Bubbles

For my seventh and final project I chose to do the water bubbles unit. The first piece is my underwater scene with water bubbles added to it and the second piece is made from the other brush I created. The water bubble piece turned out like I thought it would and I didn't really have an idea for the second piece. My favorite thing about this project was experimenting with different brushes I created. I am proud of how much detail there is in my second piece. If I did it again then I would probably create a different brush. This class has been really fun for me and I am proud of the work I completed in such a short time.

Special Effects

For my 6th project I chose to do special effects. The first piece is my example of the tutorial and the second is my original piece. For my original piece I had no idea what I was going to do but once I thought of space the piece started to come together. In the end it came out how I expected it to. I am most proud of the orbs and how well they look in the space setting. My favorite thing about this project was probably learning how to create the orbs. It is a really cool thing to create but really simple to do. I would rate my piece as a 9.

Dreamy Backgrounds

For my fifth project I did Dreamy Backgrounds. The first one is my copy of the tutorial and the second one is my original piece. The final piece turned out how I expected it to. I was surprised at how simple this project was, this was actually one thing I liked about the project because the final piece comes out looking complex with a lot of layers. I am proud of this piece because it appears to have a lot of depth to it. The class is going really well for me in general and I feel that I will complete the course sooner than I thought.

Underwater Scene

For my fourth project I chose to do the underwater scene. I did a copy of the tutorial and then added something to it to make it an original piece. This project turned out almost exactly like I thought it would. I am proud of the whale and the planets I was able to add to the scene and how good it ended up looking. My favorite aspect of this project was creating the top of the water and the light. The project was a lot quicker and easier than I expected. If I did this project differently then I might try and make the water a different color or add some type of filter to it.

Metal Collage

For my third project I chose to do the metal collage. I decided to go straight to my own metal collage instead of doing the example. The project took longer than I thought it would but I think the time spent on it was well worth it. The final piece turned out probably better than I thought it would. I am proud of the detail I was able to add to the Darth Vader helmet, it was the most difficult part to do. My least favorite thing about doing this project was finding all of the pieces to use in the collage. I would rate my final piece as a nine.

Liquid Metal

For my second photoshop project I chose to do Liquid Metal. On the left is the one I did while following the tutorial and on the right is my own design. I think my my final piece came out close to what I wanted. My idea was to use the word Megadeth and have some kind of fiery background. The one thing I really like about this project is what I was able to do with the background. Some of this did take a bit longer than I expected but I think the end result was worth it. Overall I would rate myself as an eight on this project.

1st project, surreal mist

for my first photoshop project I chose to do surreal mist, the picture on the right is my example of the photoshop top secret tutorial. the picture on the left is my own surreal mist project. originally my idea for my own project was to give everything a gloomy feel but I ended up going with this because I liked the look of it more. It didn't turn out like I thought it would but I like this more. One thing I like about my project was the color of the sky and how I was able to make it lighter as it gets closer to the horizon. I think it gives it an interesting effect. My favorite part of this project was learning how to make the mist streams because I think it gives a really cool effect to both of the photos above. My favorite aspect of this project was being able to do my own surreal mist. My least favorite aspect was having to sit through some of the boring parts of the tutorial. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would rate my project as an 8. Over all this class is going well for me even though I am just starting. I think I will enjoy photoshop as I learn more about how it works.
